Orange bay Hurghada

One of the top things to do in Hurghada is to take a private speedboat trip. It allows you to explore the sea at your own pace, away from crowded tour boats.

You can visit famous beaches on Giftun Island like Orange Bay or Paradise Island. If you’re lucky, you may even see dolphins in the wild.

Top island beaches around Hurghada

Big Giftun Island:

1. Orange Bay

→ Most popular, “Maldives-style”

  • situated far from other beaches, in the part of Big Giftun Island where the highest hill is located

  • perfect for relaxing and photos

2. Paradise Island Beach

→ Best mix: beach + swimming

  • soft white sand
  • big restaurant
  • coral reefs are closer to be reached by boat
  • good balance between relaxation and water activities

3. Hula Hula Beach

→ Trendy & less crowded

  • similar style to Paradise
  • more relaxed atmosphere
  • good for younger travelers / content

4. EDEN Island Beach

→ It’s often marketed as a “luxury / exclusive” alternative

  • Less crowded than Orange Bay & Paradise
  • More private / relaxed vibe
  • Good for couples & small groups
  • Nice setup with: sunbeds, restaurant & bar, photo spots (swings, chill areas)

5. Mahmya Island Beach

→ More premium & quieter vibe

  • cleaner, more organized
  • fewer crowds than Orange Bay
  • great beach + decent snorkeling nearby
  • most “luxury” beach experience around Hurghada.

Magawish Island:

6. Magawish Island Beach

→ Wild & less developed

  • fewer people
  • more raw nature
  • nice sandbanks and clear water

Abu Minqar:

7. ‘Bali’ White Beach

→ Free entrance, wild and not equiped!!!

  • raw nature
  • small white beach between Big Giftun and Abu Minqar Island

Sun Protection

The sun in Hurghada is strong, so we recommend bringing reef-safe sunscreen (with mineral filters such as zinc oxide or titanium dioxide). Avoid harmful chemicals like oxybenzone and avobenzone. A cap, scarf, or lycra shirt with UV protection is also useful. The speedboat has a retractable sunshade, but you will still be exposed to sunlight.

Wind Protection

During the winter months, it’s a good idea to bring a windbreaker or waterproof jacket and a hat, especially when it’s windy. Daytime temperatures in Hurghada rarely drop below 20°C, but it can feel cooler at sea.

Swimwear and Towel

For snorkeling and swimming with dolphins, don’t forget your swimwear and towel. In cooler months, we can provide wetsuits.

Your Own Snorkeling Gear (Optional)
